You will be asked to attend a consultation with one of our skin experts, during which they will carry out a medical history check, assess the area(s) of concern and agree upon a treatment plan to suit your needs. Immediately before treatment, your practitioner will take you through the consent documents and take some pre-treatment photographs. The treatment area will be cleaned, and treatment will commence. Treatment involves the application of ultrasound gel, and a handpiece device is guided across the face. The device delivers controlled energy to the targeted areas, heating the tissue and triggering the body’s natural healing response. Post-treatment photos will be taken so you can see your results. You will then be given aftercare advice, which will also be emailed to you.

Most patients require a course of 6 treatments around a 7-10 days apart. This will be discussed at your consultation.
A patch test is not required for this treatment.
This treatment is fairly pain-free. Some patients may feel a warm sensation that is eliminated by the application of ultrasound gel.
Exion treatment downtime is minimal. Most individuals can resume their normal activities immediately after the procedure. Some may experience mild redness or swelling, which typically subsides within a few hours to a couple of days.

Exion pre-care involves discontinuing certain skincare products before treatment to optimise results and minimise potential complications. It’s recommended to avoid retinol, exfoliants, and sun exposure for a period before your Exion treatment.
