Verrucae
Verrucae are a type of wart that present as raised, rough textured, skin coloured bumps. They
are most commonly found on the hands or feet and are caused by the human papilloma virus
(HPV), a common viral infection. The virus infects the skin and causes the skin to produce
excess keratin. Depending on the location, some verrucae can be painful and can make walking
uncomfortable.
