For optimum proportions of the face, the chin should be in balance with the lips and nose. This is referred to as the ‘golden ratio’ in aesthetic practices. If the chin is not projected forwards or appears too ‘flat’, dermal fillers can be injected to create the ideal balance and proportion to the face.
