Accessibility &
Additional Needs

At Aesthetically You, we want everyone who visits our clinic to feel welcome, comfortable and supported. We understand that accessibility needs are different for everyone, and we are happy to make reasonable adjustments wherever we can.

Physical Access

There are steps at the main entrance to our clinic. However, we have a lift that can be lowered to roadside level at the side of the building, providing accessible entry for clients with reduced mobility, wheelchair users, or anyone who may find the steps difficult.

As this access needs to be arranged in advance, please let us know before your appointment if you require the use of the lift. We can then make sure everything is ready for your arrival and explain the easiest way to access the clinic.

Neurodiversity, Learning Disabilities & Additional Needs

We recognise that visiting a clinic and having an aesthetic or medical treatment can present different challenges for people who are neurodivergent, have a learning disability, experience mental health difficulties, or have additional communication or processing needs.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Depending on what would help you feel comfortable and make an informed decision about your care, we may be able to offer reasonable adjustments such as:

  • Additional time for your appointment so that you do not feel rushed.
  • Information explained in a clear, straightforward way and at a pace that works for you.
  • Extra time to process information or ask questions.
  • Help if you find reading or written information difficult.
  • Aftercare information provided in a more accessible format where possible.
  • Splitting your consultation and treatment across separate appointments if you would benefit from more time to consider your options.
  • Discussing other reasonable adjustments that may make your visit easier or more comfortable, such as waiting in a quiet area away from the busy reception, reduced noise, reduced lighting (where possible).

You do not need to know exactly what adjustment you need before contacting us. We can talk through, what you find difficult and work together to find the most appropriate way to support you.

Our Accessibility Champion

Aesthetically You has a dedicated Accessibility Champion who clients can contact to discuss their individual needs before visiting the clinic.

Our Accessibility Champion
has a background in learning disabilities and mental health studies, she can work with you to understand any barriers you may experience and plan the most comfortable and accessible route, through your consultation, treatment and aftercare.

If you have a physical disability, are neurodivergent, have a learning disability or mental health difficulty, struggle with processing or written information, or simply feel that you may need some additional support when attending the clinic, please get in touch.

Where possible, contacting us before booking or attending your appointment allows us to discuss your needs and put appropriate arrangements in place.

Please never feel that you are being difficult by asking for an adjustment. We would much rather know how we can support you so that you can access your care comfortably, safely and with confidence.

If you require a longer appointment time or additional support during your visit, please email amy@aestheticallyyou.co.uk directly. Amy will be happy to arrange an appointment that best suits your individual needs.
