Female patient presented with facial asymmetry and severe oro-ocular synkinesis due to facial palsy.
Patient underwent four sessions of EMFACE, one week apart. The treatment aimed to improve facial symmetry with an emphasis on tightening and strengthening facial muscles on the flaccid side. EMFACE simultaneously emits synchronised radiofrequency and HIFES energies, causing stimulation on the elevators of the frontalis, the zygomaticus major/minor and the risorius muscles.Four weeks following the completion of a course of EMFACE, a significant lift in the midface can be observed, with tightening and strengthening of facial muscles. An overall lifting effect can be seen to brow/eye area, displaying better symmetry and balance and notable improvement to skin quality. After a thorough consultation, an initial course of four EMFACE treatments was recommended at intervals of 7 days. Immediately after the first session, a visible reduction in the nasolabial
